A bittersweet classic cake style. Named after Bittersweets grandmother, Harriet Schiffer. We have been creating versions of this since 2015. It looks the most beautiful in complimenting colors but feel free to let your imagination run wild.
The standard background on this cake is a white naked style with a broken edge and your choice of painted metallic (gold is what is pictured but it can also be painted in rose gold or silver). The color of the buttercream swipes and the metallic are what can be customized.

If you are serving your cake shortly after collecting it from the bakery simply keep it in a cool area out of direct sunlight.
If you are serving the cake later in the evening or the following day keep the cake refrigerated and take it out 30 minutes before serving to ensure creamy buttercream and soft cake.
Hot summer months / Outdoor Gatherings / Long Drives:
Keep your cake refrigerated for as long as possible, this Texas heat is no joke and doesn't play nicely with buttercream. Try to display the cake in a shaded area or out of direct sunlight if at all possible.
For long drives during the summer months it may be wise to place the cake in a cooler or invest in ice packs to place around the cake box.
Cupcakes / Bundt Cakes:
Unlike cakes, there is no need to refrigerate our cupcakes or bundt cakes unless they have cream based fillings, fresh florals or fruits. Unsure? Ask!
If you are serving your cupcakes or bundt cakes the following day have someone from our team wrap your box in plastic wrap or do so as soon as you arrive home. This will ensure your cupcakes or bundt cakes remain as fresh and soft as possible!
Cookies / Brownies:
There is no need to refrigerate your cookies or brownies, unless they have a fruit or cream based filling / topping.
If you aren't serving for a few days it wouldn't hurt to wrap in plastic wrap as well.
Tips from the pros:
We know on the day of your party you have a million errands to run and things to accomplish before the big event, make us your last stop so that your products arrive looking their best!
The cupcakes look beautiful! But does getting them OUT of the box without damaging the buttercream feel like a game of operation? Simply place the box in your freezer for 5-10 minutes, the buttercream will harden just enough so that you can pop the cupcakes out of their boxes without fear of ruining their design!
For picture perfect cake slices be sure to use a very hot and sharp knife, cleaning in between each slice.
